President Obama has had it with Wall Street’s shaky (and often unethical) financial practices that led us to (and perhaps kept us in) a crippling recession. His administration is currently pushing a Wall Street reform bill that will help overhaul the American financial system. Charity rewards blog included in the Carnival of Personal Finance

Last week’s blog about the pros and cons of redeeming credit card reward points to donate to the American Red Cross for Haiti earthquake relief efforts was included in the 242nd edition of the Carnival of Personal Finance.
Blog carnivals rotate to different hosts each week and feature a roundup of recent blogs written about a particular topic (i.e., personal finance).
This week’s carnival host was Cash Money Life, who selected the best of 80 different blog submissions for the roundup.

Today is loved by many and hated by just as many. It is Black Friday, which falls every year on the Friday after Thanksgiving. On this date, most retailers drop their prices and offer killer sales, so consumers flood to the malls and stores like rabid animals. So much money is spent that it often puts retailers who are in the red (debt) into the black (profitability).

National Children’s Day is celebrated on different days in various countries across the world. International Children’s Day is on June 1, but today is something special — it’s Universal Children’s Day.
The holiday was first proclaimed in 1954 by the United Nations General Assembly. It was created in hopes that countries would create their own children’s day as a way to celebrate childhood and to encourage an understanding and mutual understanding between children.
