Oh my gosh, I’m so excited I could just go and flip a table.
My blog titled “‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ credit card tales of trouble” about the broke but fabulous RHNJ co-star Teresa Giudice was included in the Carnival of Personal Finance hosted by Beating Broke.
Teresa and her husband are dealing with some nasty credit card debt right now. They’ve filed for bankruptcy but potentially face more legal troubles for concealing assets and lying under oath. Check out ..read more

Since my latest blog post –entitled “The latest economic casualty? Falling FICO credit scores” — was included in the Carnival of PF, it’s fair to say that post is now officially both hot and nerdy. That blog ..read more

Those results became the basis for my recent blog post, “Background Check Alerts Me to Surprising Criminal History,” which was even more recently included in the latest Money Hackers blog carnival.
Carnival host Engineer Your Finances chose “wedding and marriage” as the carnival’s theme and chose my blog post as an editor’s pick. Apparently, my decision to perform a ..read more

One of the many ways I annoy my co-workers is to break out one of my favorite books, “Chase’s Calendar of Events,” and regale them with the random events that have taken place on this particular day in history. For example, I will say, “Did you know that today is .. ” and as their eyes reflexively begin rolling back in their heads, I’ll continue, “… National Pig Day?”
So when we got the chance to host this, the 246th edition ..read more

My long journey on the Oregon Trail — which was really just me ordering computer parts, getting my card information stolen and then blogging about the experience — continues to roll on. The post was included just down the road a piece in the 45th edition of the Rich Life Carnival.
This week’s carnival boasts a downright smorgasbord of articles. We’ve got posts on technology, healthy living, hobbies and, of course, personal finance. Be sure to check ‘em all out.
